Anyone here a fan of top gear? I know its hit and miss with some but I enjoyed the special in Argentina over Christmas and now the new season is almost here its time to look forward to that.

It starts on the 25th Jan, BBC 2 8pm and it looks like it will be a good one.

Has Chris Evans just revealed when Top Gear is likely to return to the BBC?

During an appearance at the Radio Festival in London on Tuesday (September 29), the broadcaster told delegates that "Top Gear is not on until May, that's seven months, three days and 18 hours [from now]".


Evans's former Big Breakfast producer Lisa Clark has joined the all-new Top Gear crew, but the Radio 2 breakfast show host recently denied reports claiming Zoe Ball had a screen test for the show.

The show returns to the BBC lineup on May 8, just three days after filming ends. The Guardian reports that Evans said producers have ""already started making the films.""� There will be 16 episodes, and Evans said the show's crew will head to America in January to do some intercontinental filming.
