Smashing engine - purrs along at low revs, but if you need to open it up, e.g. overtaking, plenty of power there too.


See my posts ref. MPG. I'm getting about 43 urban and 50 - 53 on a good run. Never going to get Fords "official" figures, but what car does ?

If economy is important the best option is the diesel. My 1.6 tdci does around58 mpg mixed commuting and 54 cruising at the national speed limit on long distance runs
