As title says, i have the opportunity to buy a 2013 B-Max Zetec Auto with only 8,000 miles on the clock.

Long story short, I passed my driving test (auto) late last year and purchased a Vauxhall Meriva 2009 (97,000 miles) which has given up after 8 months. (I should state here, i bought this without any previous knowledge about cars or their various issues - i am trying better this time.)

My uncle in-law runs a dealership which I can hopefully get a small discount on for this B-Max. (Purchase will be around 4k)

It looks brand new but from some research has failed 2 MOT's since 2013. (1st being a massive slice in front tire and 2nd being headlights not pointing correctly) - no other reasons on basic report i could access.

I am going for a test drive tomorrow...

What is the general consensus on this 2013 Automatic model?

Good life in it?

Thanks in advance.

Be very careful. Ask if it has had a replacement clutch pack. Search "powershift" to see there have been many problems with the automatic gearbox.

as above, the powershift cars can be very troublesome, particularly with low miles, they need a good thrashing occasionally so the transmission clutches know how to work.
my recommendation, buy it, but ensure you have a good warrantee that covers any transmission problems.
