I'm in a disagreement with a vendor who has said their chain will fit 195/55R16 tires on a bmax, but I cannot for the life of me stretch the chain around the wheel.

A different vendor has said these will not fit the bmax (or at least these tires) and I've read online that the shock absorber will get in the way.

Had anyone managed to fit any?

I assume you may not be in th UK ?
Or maybe you live in Scotland ?

We VERY rarely have need for snow chains in the UK so i would hazard a guess that not many people will have experience of using snow chains.
My advice would be to contact Ford directly and ask them what they recommend.

Are snow chains legal to use in the UK ?, I've only ever seen them on the old electric milk floats.
They are only any good on hard packed snow, or so I am lead to believe.

Snow chains are legal in the UK... Not that we need them TBH
There are rules though that can leave you with a nice fine from the men in blue if you are found to be using them incorrectly. (i.e. not on snow or if they start to damage the road in any way)
