Can i ask why you want / need a light behind the grille ?
Also it would have to be positioned fairly well so as to not fall foul of the law on placement measurements for car lighting.

Now i see it, and i have to agree with number6.
Not my cup of tea and probably not legal for use on public roads either.
I would save my money, scrap the idea and choose something else to do on the car.

Simply because you have to ask if you could do them yourself, the answer has to be -get someone in.
however, I would not fit these to my car for many reasons
  • they look tacky
  • would need to inform insurance of change
  • may well interfere with airflow
  • difficult to keep them within the lighting regs, (would be ok for off road though)

but if you just want a little fun, you could get a chain of battery powered led christmas lights, and tie these into the grill

those lights are on for shows
doesnt interfere with airflow (sure that car has more than 99% of others)
insurance informed
easy to keep within lighting regs as static dim light if using during driving
everyone has their own tastes and nobody would see them unless turned on during a static meet
