Found one for £12 same part number as the £50 ones from Ford for the bmax , surely as long as it’s the same part number, even though bmax isn’t on the list of cars surely it’ll fit??

I have to admit that i have no idea i'm afraid.
Why the need for a locking fuel cap anyway ?
There is supposed to be a "baffle" in the filler neck that stoips tubes being inserted to syphon fuel out.
Not tried it myself though.

If you use the funnel that came with the car or any other similar tube like the long nozzle of a watering can poke that in, then you can feed a pipe down the centre of the funnel and syphone fuel out,

I think the baffle plate is well down insode the filler neck, much further in than the funnel can reach, or so a mechanic told me.
Who would be carrying the funnel when they're out to pinch fuel though
Come to think of it, who would own such a funnel apart from a b-max owner ?
If you're worried someone would attempt to steal fuel from your car why not invest in a security camera ? You can get one pretty cheap nowadays and it would be "guarding" your car all the time.

I think the filler funnel is common to all ford cars with the 'wrong' fuel system, though the petrol/diesel ones differ. so quite common, and would certainly be in their 'toolkit'

but as you say the anti syphon stuff is separate from the 'wrong' fuel baffle

I've tried putting fuel in my car with the funnel to no avail.
Can't see the point of a cap; most get left behind at the filling station!

It’s as much about stopping stuff being poked and poured in, than fuel being taken out
