Had a 63 plate BMax since six months old

Maybe a separate fuse, or the bottle may have crud in the bottom stopping the water,

If the front and rear washer "circuits" are on seperate pumps then it's most likely that the pump for the front washer jets has failed or become disconnected from the electrical supply OR the steering column stalk switch could be faulty ( happened to me last year ), dead easy to replace though.
