When driving alone, I have been in the habit of reclining the front seat to improve vision over my left shoulder. Since acquiring the B Max I have been impressed with its front seat'lay flat ' ability; and on Thursday I am going to experiment with my passenger sitting in the back. With the front passenger seat pushed right forward, so you cannot open the glove box, and also laid flat, the nearside rear seat with its sliding door, generous leg room and arm rest offers a very safe and comfortable environment with no obstruction to their view.

There is a sticker on the back of the front passenger seat with a big red X implying this position is not recommended when there is a passenger in the rear.

I must say I have not seen that. Will look tomorrow. However I cannot see what the problem is; unless Ford have little confidence in their rear seatbelts.
