Hi
I am thinking of getting a bmax as it is easier for mum to get in and out.
Any feedback on cargiant or motorpoint or any dealers recommended/to avoid?
Second hand only according to my bank balance !
Cheers

The Meriva is an obvious second choice if you don't fancy a b-max

The Auto Box is brilliant but only when you have the most recent version.

I think that a completely redesigned clutch is in manufacture, not sure if it's on the streets yet. It's all about pushing a Ford dealer, either direct or through an independent dealer to go through all the fixes. Ford will only authorise one fix at a time, possibly to spread the cost or because of shortage of replacement parts, or both.
Ford will insist that their dealers go through a list, one visit at a time.
Software update
New clutch seals
New clutch seals of another material + software update
Finally new hardware although I'm not sure which parts.
I live in Suffolk and shortly after the final fix, it had a heavy journey to Cardiff and back then shortly after, a trip to the North of Scotland, all without any issues.

Then if you're buying used test it and make sure the gearbox seems OK and try and get one under 3 years old so you still have a Ford warranty.

But also, Car Giant / Motorpoint are fine. They sell decent spec cars for good prices. I don't believe they discount them at all though so you'll not be able to haggle.
