Hello Folks

I'm new to the forum and I thought I'll ask the question. I've tried to search for the topic but can't see the answer in regard to this engine. I own B-Max 1.6 Petrol (64 plate). I bought it with a low mileage (27k) in Feb 2018 and to this date there is 38k on the clock. Soon I'll be traveling to work a bit further and because the car is already 5-6 years old I thought it will be worth to find out what is the timing belt interval for this engine? Is it the same 1.6 engine as one used in the C-Max (8 years or 100k miles)?

Cheers
Lukas

I just looked up on the ford etis system (where you can download the cars service schedules)
a bmax with 1.6 petrol (and auto gearbox) has the cambelt listed at 8years/100,000miles. also do the aux drive belt
so yes same as similar cmax
I think ford dealers have a 'menu' price for this too, but not for the 1l

Just to note, i believe the cambelt on the 1.0 ecoboost engine does NOT need to be re-newed.
Am i correct ?

Looks a right pig of a job on 1.0 ecoboost. Crank is tightened to 500 nm. Crickey.
I suspect it might be easier to find a secondhand engine.
