I have a 2012 Ford B-Max Titanium with the 1.0 litre Eco-boost engine. I am planning to replace the battery and would be grateful for any advise, particularly with removing the Negative connection, as it is partially hidden by the Scuttle.

Is it best to remove the negative connection from the bodywork before the actual negative battery post connection or the other way round ?.
From a quick look it appears that the Air filter cover may also need to be removed in order for the battery to removed, is that the case ?.
I can see that a board in front of the battery needs to be slid up as well to get the battery out.
Is it necessary to re-set the Battery Monitor after replacing the battery, or will that automatically reset as the car is used ?.

Thanks in advance for any advise.
