Hi All

Help please!

Can anyone on this great forum advise if the engine oil and gear box is shared for a 2014 B max 1.6 powershift automatic gearbox. When I open the engine bay, I can easily locate where to top up the engine oil, but I'm unable to locate where to check and top up the gearbox oil....I'm assuming the oil is the same for both engine and gearbox?
I once had a 1989 Mini that shared the oil!
Your input/advice would be most appreciated.

Don’t think anyone combines both engine and gearbox oils anymore! And I think I remember this was for ‘A series’ manual only.
There is a separate gearbox fluid level plug which is a 8mm Allen underneath the gearbox.
As there isn’t a Haynes B-Max Manual, I’d suggest that you purchase the Fiesta 2013-2017 (62 to 17 reg). The power train is identical and as B-Max carries over many Fiesta parts, I find the manual more than useful.

I agree with pegleg,
auto transmission uses transmission fluid, 1.8L from dry
and 1.6 engine uses 5/20 or 5/30 engine oil 4.6L from dry.

but less fluid is required on a service.

auto gearbox fill and drain are by removing blanking plugs.
