Well I'm speechless, how can this be right? Only 17000 miles in 2 years. Do you think it is associated with increased weight of the car? My 6 yr old Fusion never needed disks but had pads at about 45000. Maybe my foot has become very heavy

It's the bog standard car by the way with smallest petrol engine.Edited by: Bilbopup

With normal driving pads should last 40k - 60k miles, and discs even longer, I think I would challenge Ford regarding them paying part cost.I argued the case with Renault when I had Scenic mpv, and they replaced discs and pads for free (car was out of warranty)
