How do you play music from USB if you dont want to talk to the car. When i find the music i only Can se the artists name and not the title of the album.

Press the AuX button on the dash stereo to select USB playback, then using the menu system, select "browse", this should then list the files on the USB drive.

Unfortunately I use Spotify for my music in my car, but I will go have a play this morning and see what I can work out with a USB drive.

Hi Walther,
We use a USB stick, and have around 500 songs held on it.

We use 'random selection' from the menu, and all the artists names, and song titles can be seen, when each song comes up for play.

SYNC had originally placed all the titles in alphabetical order regardless of artist, so we use the selection above to give a variation of choice while travelling along

Hi fossil01
The problem comes when you "brows" the usb - then you only can se the name of the artist, and maybe 1-2 letters from the album title.

I want to chose what music i hear, so I have to print a view of what's on the usb, and so tell the young lady (SYNC) what album I want's to hear. I works when i know what the album title is.

Hi Walther,

I've just been to check our USB, the artists name shows above on the screen, while the song is shown underneath in full.

My wife did all the transfer's of the CD's to USB stick on her laptop, which has Windows 8.

I'm not known for my tech skills . So you best wait for D_Z, as he has the background knowledge

Hi fossil01
The same on my car - BUT you don't brows to se the music who's played.

When you brows the content on the usb, you see

eric clapton - on

(it should be - eric clapton - one more car, one more ride) but there is not enough place to show this.

If you se one of the numbers played from this album, you se:

eric clapton

stille got the blues

There for I aske if anybody have tried only to use EC in artist name - and if that have made the album titlle show (in brows the usb).
