Usb socket

Recently my usb socket stopped syncing with my ipod classic. I have since tried the same cable and ipod in friends' S Max and C Max respectively and it works fine.

I'm thinking it's something to do with the usb port. The port seems to have power as it does charge up my phone when plugged in. However, when my ipod is plugged in, it merely lights up the screen on the ipod without charging it. On the menu screen in the car, it doesn't recognise the usb device (ipod).

Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I had similar issues with my previous Fiesta and a hard reset fixed it.

Not sure if you've fixed this yet. But my 15 plate Titanium does this sometimes, USB vharges but won't sync and bluetooth goes on the blink

Its the 10A in location 24 in the glovebox fusebox inmycar.

Switch off ignition, (open and close doors so the powers off), remove the 10A from location 24 and make sure its not blown (Only used for SYNC module not for USB socket) which is the middle and furthest too the right

Replace 10A with new or same fuse if its not blown and then start ignition as normal.

See if that works for you. I attached the Bmax fuse location diagram too (hopefully)
