Hi all. I hope there's someone here who can help me. I have a 2015 B-Max Titanium with the Sony Stereo, DAB, BT and rear cam. The other day whenever I tried to go into Navigation it told me I had a 'Navigation data error Check SD card'. As the nav was a bit out of date I thought i'd download the latest Sync and get a new card. Unfortunately the card I got was for the non-Sony system.. When I inserted it it started updating the system and half way through displayed the following message
* DOWNLOADER VER. Jun 25 2013 *

STATUS: 5. Batch File Not Found
Please insert a correct Download medium
I've taken to a local Ford specialist who says he couldn't communicate with the front control display interface module and that i'd need to replace this at a cost of about £800 before he could find what's wrong!
We are having trouble with our sony sync system on our 15 plate titanium and after having it diagnosed. We're left with a £500 bill to have the module replaced at ford. I have however had mine to bits and there are second hand modules available on various selling sites, but... I am led to believe that they may need coding to your car.
I am in the process of appealing to ford for financial assistance as i feel the part is of unmerchantable quality.
Update on the Sony sync stereo problem. I had the car in the local dealers, where we purchased it from and have had it serviced with. After the initial diagnosis of a crook stereo module, they were wanting in the region of £498 for the pleasure of replacing it. After a conversation with Ford head office and a verbal conversation with the service manager, they offered a goodwill gesture to go halves for it. So it ended up at £249 for the replacement part.
On a side note though, all main agents are given finances for a thing they call, Customer Loyalty Programme. The dealers decide when, where, who and indeed if to spend these funds. I appealed to the main dealer for a contribution and they stumped up. Even though the BMAX is over 4 years old now, only just, but they didn't have to offer anything. Cheers, Evans Halshaw.
Double edged attack helped massively. Local ford customer service agent and ford main office. Well happy.
