When driving in normal condition I experience a clunking sound which appears to eminate from the boot area/ rear of the vehicle, the net implies it is a damaged drop link but I am unclear of its location and cannot find any diagrams on the net or even if they have them on the rear.
I know they are on the front and are a connection to the anti roll bar system and apparently it is common on cars for the bushes to fail meaning a replacement would be require, this apparently relatively easy to do if you know where they are.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I had a similar clunk and found it to be the false boot floor on mine. I had put a few things underneath it and it was raised just enough to clunk over bumps.
I've also heard of a similar clunking sound which emanates from the sliding doors.
I had a knocking at rear and found it was the rear door top mount near roof..the rubber grommet had broken apart allowing the pin to knock in the housing..I found a cure that cost nothing..I used the base from a tubeless valve used in car wheels..this sits on the pin and has cured my doors..hope this helps
I know it sounds a bit crazy, but! Our BMax does this from time to time. And I have deduced, correctly, that it is to do with the fuel! It depends on the "slosh" of the fuel in the tank. I haven't gone into the baffles in the tank of newer fords, not just the bmax, but our Kuga has a tendancy to do it too.
Check the fuel level, bumps and speed your doing.
