Question Removing plastic sill covers

Just wondering if anyone has removed the plastic sill covers from underneath the car?

Need to fit some puddle lights, and this might be the easiest option if there's room between plastic and metal. Any photos of one stripped would be appreciated.

suggests 'approach' lights (puddle lights) may have been designed into the door mirror casings.
but given that the page before, has the wrong info for side repeater indicators, and the one after is wrong about the break light cluster, maybe not.

Indeed, I think that's off the Ford Kuga

There is plenty of room in the mirror housing to fit a puddle light, but it's a matter of getting the wire from the light to the A pillar
