I know this has been mentioned before on here, but my front offside tyre has been losing about 5psi
in a fortnight.
Eventually I took it in to be looked at, and it turned out to be corrosion around the valve stem.
This seems to be quite a common fault. Do other Fords get the same problem, or is it just the
quality of the aluminum on the BMax ?
Common problem with alloy wheels I'm afraid, both around the valve stems and the rims.
I suspect that the BMax alloys are a bit substandard compared to the alloys I had on my last Fiesta.
After 2 years I noticed corrosion around the valve stems of 3 of the 4 wheels and these were changed, not sure why the 4th wasn't. However I had a new off side front tyre changed last week and it seems to be losing pressure ever so slightly.
For this exact fault I had 2 of my wheels replaced under ford warranty with. My car was under 3 years old at the time though, but they may pay toward a new pair or more.
