Engine management

Hello everyone I have a problem with service light popping up
Hi have a 1.5 tdci 2015 and its engine management just started to play up , keeps displaying needs engine service and going into limp mode,
service only done recently . Is there a sofware update from ford main dealers and will they charge for it.
Previously had a friend plug his diagnostic box in and no faults popped up ??

Try doing a service interval reset, after a service many garages forget to reset the interval before returning the car. We have the same issue when vans at work have a service. Try this --https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9cvySV4Z3x0

1 litre Zetec Turbo petrol 74Kw / 100 Ps. as in my avatar.

if you are getting a code, but it is not readable, you may need a different code reader, or one that can record events as they come up on the road.

having looked around a bit, my GUESS would be diesel fuel filter.

HI Gremlin, we took it to Swindon Auto Diagnostics & Servicing Ltd in April this year as the same problem happened then, they could find no fault on the car but like you suggested a new fuel filter and we had them install it , it has been ok up until now.
Have just reset the service with the break/accelerator at same time as ignition on and will see if anything changes.
Thanks guys . love the car otherwise cheap to run great with the sliding doors just a shame its spoilt by some elctrical Gremlins ( no offence mr Gremlin)
