Eliminating the central door pillars has rarely translated from concept car to production. Not in this case however, and the result is an uninterrupted access of over 1.5 metres wide.

The sense of space is enhanced by the sculpted cabin, well-equipped cockpit and full-length panoramic roof. Powered by the ultra-low-CO2 Ford EcoBoost petrol engine with Ford Auto-Start-Stop, the B-Max delivers outstanding fuel efficiency and was launched in 2012.

Handbrake

I've just checked and managed seven clicks until the handbrake was hard on. I did think the travel slightly excessive when I first got the car but seeing as it works just fine even on steep hills I didn't pursue it. Any kind of gradient I also stick it gear. Normal pulling pressure gets me six clicks. My previous 2004 C Max, my wife's 2005 Fiesta ST and my 2005 Transit Connect van all have slightly less clicks.  ...
